We purchased this from the family of a deceased customer.  The gentleman these came from had a role for years with services involved for veterans at the cemeteries.  He would provide flags, pins, synthetic flowers and various other commemorative items for the final resting places of our U.S. veterans.
One service he provided was changing out damaged or aged markers for new one depicting specific messages of the veterans service.  The foresight of this gentleman was to save pieces that were replaced.  He kept them for years and his family brought them to us after he passed and began to settle his estate.  This is a very old marker exactly seen in the pictures (antique, original, vintage).  I used flash on the camera which helps with detail but lightens the color of the item in the image.
